some of my garlic is up. I planted it when I was supposed to. Will it freeze? Also, when it dries up a bit, should I mound up the dirt a little?
Is my garlic in danger of freezing. Some of it is up 3-4 inches. Thank you
You should be fine. Mulch with some straw, leaves or bark mulch to help it through the winter. Garlic is very tough. I have some left in the ground from last year and it is 8 inches tall. I don’t mulch, I let it go and it does fine. We harvest it in spring as green garlic.
